The Eklingji temple

The Eklingji temple is situated in the Eklingji town in close propinquity to the Eklingji Lake. It was constructed in honour of the main idol of the Sesodia Dynasty, Eklingji which is a form of Lord Shiva. The temple is built on the foundation of marble and granite and has a pyramidal shape to it. There is a cenotaph of the then ruler of Mewar within the complex and is known for its beautiful carvings and murals, along with an image of Lord Vishnu. Special pujas are held on every Mondays in the temple.

How to Reach Nathdwara

By Road

Nathdwara is well connected by road and sits on the Udaipur–Jaipur highway. Regular buses and taxis run from Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh, Rajsamand, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. The drive from Udaipur is about 45 minutes and is very smooth.

By Air

The nearest airport is Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap Airport, around 60 km away. You can easily hire a taxi from the airport to reach Nathdwara.

By Rail
